UPS and FedEx 2023 Holiday Schedules
While you’re putting the finishing touches on your Halloween costume, UPS and FedEx are getting fitted for their Santa Claus costumes and have released their 2023 holiday shipping deadlines. The big man in red has Christmas magic on his side to deliver packages under trees by December 25, but the rest of us need a little help from a transportation company.

The dates below reflect the last day to send domestic packages in order for them to be received on or before December 24.

December 19 is the last day to ship using UPS 3 Day Select®.
December 20 is the last day to ship using UPS 2nd Day Air® services.
December 21 is the last day to ship using UPS 2nd Day Air® services with a Saturday delivery option or UPS Next Day Air® services.
December 22 is the last day to ship using UPS Next Day Air® services with a Saturday delivery option.

On-time guarantees taking a holiday?
Service guarantees have been taking an extended vacation since the onset of Covid, but overnight deliveries have been guaranteed for some time now. Both carriers will continue to honor guarantees on these services between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the time commitment is pushed back to end-of-day rather than 10:30, noon, or 3:30.
