Download NowThe holiday season will be here before we know it, and with it comes peak season surcharges from UPS and FedEx. The carriers have implemented practices to ensure as many shippers as possible pay the surcharges, but we’ll let you in on a little secret: not everyone is paying the same holiday surcharges.
To counteract the lower-than-expected attrition resulting from building closures and reduced revenue, UPS expanded the deadline for driver buyouts from July 31 to August 14 and introduced a buyout package for operations managers.
For the first time, the United States Postal Service has announced holiday surcharges for parcels shipped between 10/5 and 1/18/26, similar to surcharges implemented by UPS and FedEx for the last several years.
