As of April 20, though, One Rate shippers got a ++surprise rate hike++ on the heels of the most recent increase just two months ago.

What is FedEx One Rate?

FedEx One Rate is a flat-rate domestic shipping service for parcels under 50 pounds and envelopes under 10 pounds.

Shippers can choose between FedEx Express Saver, FedEx 2Day, FedEx 2Day A.M., FedEx Standard Overnight, FedEx Priority Overnight, and FedEx First Overnight depending on the urgency of delivery. Shippers may use complimentary FedEx boxes or their own packaging as long as it meets the size requirements for the chosen packing type. However, parcels sent as envelopes must use the carrier’s provided packaging to qualify for One Rate.

The rate includes residential surcharges, delivery area surcharges, and fuel surcharges. Customers can opt to pay extra for on-call pickup, Saturday delivery, signatures upon delivery, additional declared value, and address or account correction services.

This flat-rate service is often the preferred option for small businesses, online retailers, and other shippers who prioritize predictable rates and hassle-free shipping.

April 20, 2026, FedEx One Rate Increase

A sweeping increase for FedEx One Rate services took effect on April 20, averaging about 7% per service. Pricing depends on parcel type, zone, and shipping speed. In this update, higher-tiered and long-distance shipments will see the biggest jump.

Let’s take a look at a few examples of the increases:

FedEx Envelopes shipped by FedEx Express Saver and FedEx 2Day within the local and regional zones increased from $11.90 to $12.75

FedEx Large Boxes shipped by FedEx Express Saver and FedEx 2Day jumped from $29.95 to $32.05 across all zones. The same parcel shipped using FedEx First Overnight, which previously cost $127.85, $184.40, or $234.40, will now cost $133, $193.55, or $247.05, depending on the zone.
